WHO: Pandemic continues to be a global health threat

The World Health Organization (WHO) keeps the highest alert level declared because of the coronavirus pandemic. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced in Geneva that he would maintain the international health emergency.

Even although the global CoV situation has improved, around 170,000 deaths related to Covid-19 have been reported from around the world in the past eight weeks. WHO is urging countries to put in place long-term infection prevention, surveillance and control plans, and to remain vigilant after the public health emergency has lifted.

Our opinion: to prevent infections, monitoring of the antibody level remains important, especially for risk groups!
